Arsenal’s season-long success has a secret, according to Mikel Arteta.

On December 22, 2022, a notice about the appointment was posted on the FA’s official website. Grant committed to a two-year contract that keeps him in Zambia through 2024.

He expressed his happiness about his meeting with Zambia. He claimed that the challenge that came with the job offer was the reason he decided on Zambia.

I was looking for the right challenge and that’s why I chose Zambia. I came here because of the challenge and I hope when I leave here I will look around and say we did a good job and made a good foundation for the future. I think Zambia has the potential, we have set the targets of what we want to achieve.

Grant is coming into the Zambian job with a lot of experience on the African scene. He led Ghana to the semi-finals of the African Cup of Nations on two occasions ( 2015, 2017). The Black Stars finished in second place in 2015 and finished in fourth place in 2017.

Grant’s first official game for Zambia will be at home to Lesotho in March, a qualifier for the 2023 Cup of Nations being held in Ivory Coast.
