Everton, Southampton, Palace Swoop For Akpom

Everton, Crystal Palace, and Southampton are said to be interested in Nigerian-born attacker Chuba Akpom.

Despite his previous problems at the club, the 27-year-old has had a productive season for Middleborough this season.

Akpom has 13 goals in 19 Sky Bet Championship outings for the Teessiders this season.

According to the Daily Mail, three Premier League clubs are mulling a move for the attacker during the current winter transfer window.

Southampton have only scored 15 goals in 17 Premier League games this season, with Che Adams leading the way with four.

Everton and Crystal Palace are also keen to add firepower to their attack.

Akpom ‘s contract with Boro will expire in the summer but Michael Carrick’s side have an option to extend his stay by a further 12 months.
