Fans did not hold back in venting their concerns about the award-winning Nigerian superstar.
Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, a Nigerian renowned singer, composer, and performer, has gotten a tremendous level of outrage from his followers regarding his 2023 Lagos headline show.
After extensively touring the world in 2022, the Spaceship Entertainment lead act and owner opted to kick off 2023 with a homecoming performance in Lagos. However, it did not live up to the standard of a classic Burna Boy show in other areas of the world.
The event, which was slated to start by 6 p.m. Nigerian time on January 1, 2022, did not see the African Giant climb the stage until 3:30 a.m. Nigerian time on January 2, 2022, making the fans wait for over seven hours before seeing the hitmaker.
According to a lot of angry fans who paid exorbitant fees to access the concert, they took to their social media pages to state that Burna Boy’s unprofessional attitude, even after coming late, was unacceptable to them.

I really hope this crowd don’t let Burna Boy perform.
They need to put their foot down and tell him to fuck off.
I for one will walk out once he starts performing.

Not sure when these Artists & Organisers will learn to respect our precious time. 2:03 AM and no Burna Boy on sight. No supporting act. Even the DJ seem as tired as everyone else. Didn’t know we were in for a full Night Vigil. 🥱😔 https://t.co/pJnOAVktOu pic.twitter.com/JTwYCE8HxZ
