As Reims defeats Monaco, Balogun equals a 62-year-old Ligue 1 goal record.

Reims defeated AS Monaco 1-0 at home on Sunday in Ligue 1.

It is Reims’ third straight victory and their fourth in their last five games.

Balogun scored the only goal in the 51st minute, bringing his total in the French top flight to 16.

Balogun, who is 21 years and 252 days old, became the youngest player to score 16 goals in his first season in Ligue 1 since Mohammed Salem with Sedan-Torcy in 1960/61.
